PAT: visit of the Prefect of Meurthe & Moselle for the launch of a France 2030 Programme

Plant Advanced Technologies PAT received yesterday in its greenhouses in Laronxe (54), Mr Arnaud Cochet, Prefect of Meurthe-et-Moselle, accompanied by Mrs Malory Chéry, Sub-Prefect of Lunéville on the occasion of the launch of its food supplements project entitled :

N’GINS, Nouvelle Génération d’Ingrédients Naturels Santé.

In December 2021, the Government wished to accelerate its support to start-ups in the FoodTech sector by launching a call for projects “Food needs of tomorrow”, as part of the 4ᵉ Programme d’investissements d’avenir (PIA4).

With a budget of 110 million euros over 5 years (2021-2025), this call for projects aims to support companies in their development of innovative solutions in areas such as:

• the development of healthier, more sustainable food that meets consumers’ expectations,
• the development of innovative processes using new technologies,
• the ‘foodiness’ of packaging,
• and new tools to improve traceability and transparency of consumer information.

Plant Advanced Technologies PAT is the winner of the call for projects “Food needs of tomorrow”, supported by the France 2030 programme.

In this context, the Prefect of Meurthe-et-Moselle, accompanied by local elected representatives and a delegation dedicated to innovation (Lorr’Up, Grand Nancy Innovation, BPI, etc.) visited the company’s industrial and Research & Development site. The Prefect emphasised the need to support the innovations of companies like PAT, which create jobs and added value for the country.

Jean-Paul Fèvre, CEO of PAT declared: “PAT’s ambition is to become a key player in the production of rare active ingredients with high health value via disruptive technologies, and thus actively participate in the strengthening of the French bio-economic sector in the field of biotechnologies”.

He also thanked the State for its financial support for innovation.
